Leviticus 8-10: No Room for Error

In Leviticus 8-10, we take a break from law school to focus on the priests’ ordination. As we see the grand opening of the tabernacle for worship and offerings, we need the priests to be ready to handle all the instructions regarding the tabernacle activities.  The ordination readies the priests for the holy requirement the role requires.

While an honor, priests were held to a higher standard meaning they had no room for error as we will see in the episode.

HAYLEY’S BIBLE BENDER:

My Bible bender this week comes in the heart change of Aaron. Aaron experiences tragedy and as a leader, he responds correctly. On top of that, Susan illuminated how Aaron’s heart in his reaction has changed from the golden calf incident to now. Her takeaway being that there is no room for error in disobedience IF your heart does not have a right motive. My Bible bender is that while God looks at the situation, he ultimately, examines our heart to justly react to us. As Heather has said multiple times this season, it all comes down to the heart.

What was your Bible bender? Did you learn anything new?
