Leviticus Offerings Chart

leviticus offering chart

Leviticus offerings: there are a few to say the least. Moses wrote them all down and gave the instructions to the priests and the people as God instructed. We made a small chart to keep them all straight in our mind as they do reappear many times in the Old Testament.

There are five listed in the chart: burnt, grain, fellowship/peace, purification/sin, and reparation/guilt. I find the reasoning column to most insightful as it helps me to to understand the individual purpose of each. I especially find it most helpful to see which portions either God, the priests, or the people partook in the offering itself. Our world is so removed from these offerings. It is interesting to see how involved each offering is and why sin would be an prominent focus to the nation of Israel.

Here are some links for the verses referenced for Leviticus offerings: Leviticus 1:1-17; Leviticus 6:8-13; Leviticus 2:1-16; Leviticus 7:9-14; Leviticus 3:1-17; Leviticus 7: 11-34; Leviticus 17:10-14; Leviticus 22:21-30; Leviticus 4:1-5:13; Leviticus 6:24-30; Leviticus 8:14-17; Leviticus 10:16-20; Leviticus 16:11-22: Leviticus 5:14-6:7; Leviticus 7:1-7; Leviticus 14:12-18; and Leviticus 19:20-22
