Leviticus 25: God Always Provides a Way Home

In Leviticus 25,  we discuss a concept that rolls justice, freedom, economic opportunity, and family all in one. This new concept was the Jubilee–the Super Sabbath–and a law that makes so much that was wrong, right again.

HAYLEY’S BIBLE BENDER:

My takeaway from today’s episode was this analysis by Susan:

In the New Testament, Sunday, the first day of the week, the day of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus is the focus.

    • Jesus, the light of the world, was raised from the dead on the day after the Sabbath, after the night with no evening and the light of day merged with the light of the next day.
    • For believers, rest, or the eternal Jubilee, was won on the day of His resurrection,
    • The light from the Sabbath never ends. Because Jesus is the light!
    • The Sabbath is the hope for the ultimate Sabbath, the ultimate Jubilee that never ends where we find rest in the presence of God forever.
    • The pattern God set in Genesis when he created the world is the pattern for, the eternal Sabbath, there will be no day after, just ever after.

What was your Bible bender? Did you learn anything new?
