Abraham in Canaan

This map, by Holman Bible Atlas, shows the path of Abraham in Canaan. It highlights the migration from Egypt to Canaan. Like the key mentions, this journey was documented as part of Genesis 12:10-14:24 as well as throughout Genesis 18-22. On the map, you will also notice the various regions of the other people in the region, such as Horites, Amalekites, and Amorites. The green arrow specifically outlines the miltary route of these kinds in Genesis 14. It’s quite the interesting story. Kadesh-Barnea, a very important place for the Israelites on their journey is shown as well. (We have another map in the show notes that shows more specific details of that region.)

I love this map as it highlights various events in Bible clearly. Some examples illuminated on the map above are the place where God promises a son to Abraham and Sarah, the place where conflict arises between Abraham and Lot, and the place where Abraham attempts to offer Isaac as a sacrifice on Mount Moriah.
