Genesis 22 and 23
Genesis 22 and 23 see God testing Abraham’s faith through the sacrifice of Isaac. Is Isaac more precious than God to Abraham?
HAYLEY’S BIBLE BENDER:
My Bible bender was in the foreshadowing of God and Jesus through Abraham and Isaac. (See the table below). The table show similar of circumstances Abraham and Isaac had to the future God and Jesus combination in the New Testament. I thought of a few on the list but as always, Susan had a few more that I missed.
What did you learn from Genesis 22? Did you have a Bible bender?

Sacrifice was on specific spot on Mount Moriah. Abraham named it “the Lord will provide” | Temple was built on same spot on Mount Moriah where all sacrifices were held. When Jesus was crucified on the same Mountain, the veil within the temple was rent in two. The Lord did provide. |
