Genesis 18 brings Abraham angel visitors. And Hebrews 13:2 reminds us, “Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.” While Abraham’s encounter was dissected, Susan shared her own story. I loved getting to hear Susan’s run-in with a possible angel. It really makes you stop and think: Do I love others enough to take the time to entertain strangers and if I do, have I entertained angels? Do you have an angel story like Susan?

HAYLEY’S BIBLE BENDER:

While the angel contemplation is fascinating, my Bible Bender came through a 4-word sentence: “There, in the tent.” If not for Susan, I would have missed the significance of this sentence many more times. How crazy it must have been to be Sarah, realizing the Lord had regenerated my womb at 90. It would have been an amazing yet also intimidating moment. God was confronting Abraham and Sarah about their lack of faith. It is just another reminder that when you have a promise from God, small or Isaac-big, trust Him to follow through.
