Easy Mini Cheeseburger Slider Dinner

As we get closer to Christmas week, the days seem to get busier…last-minute shopping, Christmas parties and pageants, and at-home activities such as baking cookies or decorating the tree.  So, when your kids yell, “What’s for dinner?” You can tell them, “Easy Mini Cheeseburger Sliders!” And together, you can come up with some great combinations. For the traditionalists: tomatoes, relish, mustard,  and mayo. For the daring: grilled onions, jalapenos, BBQ sauce.  And always, chesse! Feta, provolone, cheddar…the list goes on forever more. And for dessert, Apple Crumble. Delish!

Ingredients
  1. 10 medium to large apples – peeled, cored and thinly sliced
  2. ½ cup white sugar
  3. 3 Tablespoons flour
  4. 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  5. ½ cup water
  6. 1 cup quick cook oats
  7. 1 cup brown sugar
  8. 1 cup flour
  9. ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  10. ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  11. 1 stick melted butter
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Butter a 9 x 13 pan.
  3. In a large bowls toss the apples with white sugar, 3 Tablespoons flour and 1 teaspoon cinnamon to coat evenly.
  4. Spread apples evenly in the 9 x 13 pan.
  5. Pour water over the apples.
  6. In the bowl combine the oats, brown sugar, 1cups flour, baking soda, baking powder and butter. Mix until crumbly. Drop on top of the apples.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes.
