Do Not Disturb – Nesting Mama!

Every day this week – not exaggerating – Madison (see Belly Questions for an idea of what I am dealing with working with this girl everyday) has informed me that I have not blogged in 5 days…6 days…7 days…

Enough already!  Do you see this picture?  I am nesting!

Madison is trying to get preggers, as she calls it.  She has not yet gone through the Jekel/Hyde transformation of motherhood.  Which makes her completely unsympathetic to the maniacal, nesting hormone that has invaded my body and erased all sense of duty toward anything but the nest.  The nest was obliterated in June by the flood – so the entire interior or our house must come down to the studs.

My house is like a giant stuffed animal with all it’s fluff falling out.

When you look at what my old nest was made of you kinda have to think this could be a good thing, huh.  (check out the old nob and tube wiring in bottom right)

But three of my five children have lived in this room at one time or another.  Will it be so different when it is done?

And so many little giggles took place in that small, old bath tub.

Not sure why TP was on the window sill, afraid to ask.

My nest is a mess, and the urgency I feel is distracting, I am praying it won’t make me cranky (I had to ask for forgiveness once already).  But I am making new friends.

And they have taken hanging out together to a whole new level.

Nesting is conflicting.  Tearing out the old, building the new.  Disturbing but exciting.

It just takes time to process, so until a Mama has had enough time it’s best not to disturb her.

Madison will learn this, when she gets preggers.
