Is a good night’s sleep really that important for your children? Dr. Peter Armstrong, Chief Medical Officer of Shriners Hospitals for Children, says yes!
About Susan Merrill:
I'm just doing my best to be my best like pretty much every other mom I know.
I believe so too. I always though that younger elementary school age children should be provided maximum sleep yet they are the first to start school. Most of these elementary school children end up in after-school care because the school lets out earlier than the work day does. I hear a lot of parents concerns that they would love to be home when their younger children get home from school but can’t because the school lets out so early.
(Middle school starts second and High School last.) It’s the High School age that would be most capable of taking care of themselves in an after-school situation when the parent is not able to be home.
Just seems backwards to me.
